Geometry at St Bartholomew’s and Stourport Primary

On Tuesday 12 February, as part of a pilot project, Year 4 students were involved in a new ‘Harmony’ curriculum with a strong emphasis on developing geometry skills.  Whilst clearly enjoying the lesson, students had to really concentrate and demonstrated tremendous perseverance to develop new skills.  The Harmony Curriculum is an initiative supported by the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts and is focused around value-based learning and enquiry-centred learning.  Different ‘Harmony’ principles underpin a multi-disciplined approach to the curriculum and provide an opportunity to develop important values and an understanding of the world linked directly to well-being, diversity, nature and geometry.
