‘Safe, happy and flourishing in their learning.’
St. Bartholomew’s is a successful, happy school located in the semi-rural village of Areley Kings on the south banks of the river Severn, Stourport. We have the highest expectations and aspirations for all our pupils and we work hard to ensure they are safe, happy and flourish in their learning. We value the close, relaxed relationship the school has with its community.
As a Church of England school we have a distinctive Christian Character and the caring Ethos is evident in the relationships within our school community where we work to create a feeling that we are all part of God’s special family where we show love and care to everyone around us. We are proud of our close links with the parish church of St. Bartholomews and children, parents, staff and governors have a shared set of core British Christian Values: Friendship, Respect, Compassion, Perseverance, Trust and Forgiveness and these values underpin all our work.
We are proud that Ofsted has recognised our school as GOOD and we work hard to ensure we continue to improve. We believe that childhood is a special time and we provide as many opportunities for our children as we can to ensure they are successful. We want each of our pupils to move onto the next stage of their education well prepared, with confidence, self belief and a love of learning.
We believe in and deliver a creative curriculum which builds children’s social and emotional resilience, draws upon the latest research in brain development and recognises the importance of positive relationships with parents, families and teachers. We have invested in an innovative approach called THRIVE, which ensures that each and every one of ‘our’ children really do thrive. Please visit our website for more insights into our school and arrange a visits at any time to suit you and your son/daughter.
